ICEIS BOYER
Writer • DIRECTOr • Producer
Founder, So Icey Productions
Iceis Boyer is a Detroit filmmaker, writer, director, and producer bringing a fresh voice and a new generation of storytelling to independent film.
As the founder of So Icey Productions, Iceis is building her own creative legacy through stories that entertain, challenge, and connect with audiences.
Iceis developed her love for filmmaking while working as a Production Assistant on her mother Nyambe Nichole’s film, Deadly Desires. What began as an opportunity to help behind the scenes quickly became something more. Being on set and experiencing firsthand what it took to bring a story from the page to the screen sparked a passion for filmmaking of her own.
She soon began developing her own voice as a storyteller.
Her journey took another major step forward with Blind Trust, the first feature film she wrote and assistant directed. Released in 2025, the film marked an important milestone in Iceis’s journey, allowing her to move beyond learning the filmmaking process and begin shaping stories from her own creative perspective.
In 2026, Iceis stepped into the director’s chair for Eye for Eye, marking her feature-film directorial debut. The thriller also became the first official collaboration between So Icey Productions and Nyambe Nichole Productions, bringing together two filmmakers, two production companies, and two generations of storytellers.
From starting on set as a Production Assistant to becoming a writer and ultimately directing her first feature film, Iceis’s journey represents the very heart of 2 Pens 1 Legacy—learning from the generation before you while finding the courage to create a path of your own.
For Iceis, filmmaking is more than creating movies. It is about developing her own voice, creating opportunities, and helping build something that can live beyond one generation.
Through So Icey Productions, she continues to grow as a filmmaker while developing projects that reflect her individual style, perspective, and vision.
